Before Your Portrait Session
At Brubaker Photography we work closely with our clients to create portraits that enhance their space and make it truly feel like home. In order to do that, we ask that our clients consider the following prior to their session:
What is the Current Style of Your Home?
We want your portraits to accent and compliment your style. If you have a formal home, we should capture more formal images. If your style is more casual and comfortable, we want to reflect it!
What Colors are Present in the Room in Which You Would Like to Display Your Portraits or Collections?
This is huge! When selecting your clothes we want to coordinate colors with the interior of your home. For example, if you have all blues and tans, stay away from reds and blacks.
Which Walls Could Would Benefit From a Portrait?
We would love to visit your home prior to your portrait session to help you identify the spaces that could use a portrait or collection. However, if that is inconvenient for you we can complete this process during your in-home Viewing and Ordering Session or you may send us pictures of your space and we can design up a virtual collection for you prior to your Viewing and Ordering Session.
What is Your Budget?
We work with clients who have budgets big and small! Our clients typically choose to invest $500 - $2500 for the entirety of their portrait experience. While we specialize and take great pride in our wall portraits, our hearts are in portraiture itself and
we offer a variety of finished products to suit our clients’ desires.
We want to help you create a display you'll love at any budget. Our gift portraits range from $75 - $245. Wall portraits begin at $395 - $1,795.
Due to the custom nature of our finished products, we are not able to share a complete price list. Please contact us if you have any specific questions regarding sizing and pricing.
We believe it is important that every family have the opportunity to enjoy portraiture and it is our pleasure to offer no-interest payment plans.
What to Wear
We want to go beyond telling your family's story and create custom portraiture suited to your lifestyle, that is why we are here to assist you in selecting clothing that compliments your interior and style.
Solid colors in the same color palate create classic, timeless portraits. Try to refrain from loud patterns and t-shirts with logos. Simple garments for the whole family photograph best. If you would like to appear slimmer, avoid horizontal stripes and sleeveless styles, as bare arms can overpower the face. Seek out dark colors and layers to hide trouble areas. If you have additional questions, contact us anytime!
